Stockholm Airport (ARN) Information: Aerial picture of the skylineA massive four terminal facility and currently the 20th busiest airport in Europe, Stockholm Arlanda Airport (ARN) is located around 42 km / 26 miles north of central Stockholm, close to both Marsta and Sigtuna. The airport offers numerous daily flights to over 170 major cities and destinations throughout Europe and in other continents, as well as to domestic cities across Sweden, with more than 70 airlines including Stockholm's very own FlyNordic and also the Scandinavian Airlines System (SAS) and Sterling Airlines.

Whilst Stockholm Arlanda Airport is certainly large, the complex has a well-designed signage system, making navigation within the airport an uncomplicated and stress-free affair. Currently more than 19 million people use Arlanda each year, approximately 14 million of which are international passengers. Stockholm Airport features four terminals, three runways, a staff of approximately 15,000 and in excess of 230,000 annual take-offs and landings.


Located next to the E4 motorway, an extensive bus service connects Stockholm Arlanda Airport with a wide variety of destinations in and around Sweden's capital city. High-speed Arlanda Express trains are also available with a journey time of approximately 20 minutes, while for those who are happy to pay a little extra, Ecotaxis and Flygtaxis (Fly and Ride) depart from outside each of the terminals, with limousine pick-up services also available by prior arrangement.
